DROP’s First 12 Weeks: What Healthcare Marketers Need to Know

A webinar from HealthLink Dimensions and the Network Advertising Initiative (NAI) on California’s Delete Act and the data behind your campaigns.
WHY THIS, AND WHY NOW
On August 1, California data brokers began processing the deletion requests that residents file through DROP, the state’s Delete Request and Opt-out Platform. More than half a million Californians have signed up.
If you buy, license, or use healthcare professional (HCP) data, some of those requests will reach your files. HealthLink hears the same basic questions from customers and partners: what DROP is, whether it applies to them, and what to do with a notice when one arrives. This session answers them.
WHAT YOU WILL LEARN
-
What DROP requires of data brokers, and why it matters about 12 weeks in.
-
What an HCP data provider sees when it checks California’s deletion lists against its records.
-
How a deletion notice should reach you, how often to expect one, and what to do with it.
-
Four actions to take back to your organization, including the questions to ask your data partners.
WHAT YOU WILL TAKE HOME
Every registrant receives a one-page guide to the four actions and the questions to ask a data partner, and the recording by email after the session.
WHO SHOULD ATTEND
Marketing, marketing operations, CRM, compliance, and legal teams at pharma, device, and health system organizations, agencies, and ad tech companies that buy, license, or activate HCP data. NAI membership isn’t required.
