HealthLink Dimensions Attends Becker’s Payer Issues Roundtable

The 2025 Becker’s Annual Meeting wrapped up in Chicago last week, gathering more than 3,000 healthcare executives, clinical leaders, and industry innovators under one roof. With over 850 speakers and dozens of panels, the event served as a pulse check on the trends reshaping healthcare delivery and payer-provider collaboration in the U.S.

While our team was all business during the daytime sessions—attending panels, networking, and diving into discussions on provider data accuracy—they brought some unexpected energy to the evening happy hour. In a nod to the industry’s ongoing challenge with “ghost networks,” our team showed up dressed as Ghost Network Busters. It was a lighthearted way to highlight a serious issue: inaccurate provider directories that list unavailable or non-existent providers. Our team had a blast talking to attendees and posing for photos in uniform!

A session dedicated to provider data accuracy highlighted the downstream effects of poor data hygiene and the impacts that touch everything from member portals to claims processing. Accurate directories are now seen as a foundational requirement, not just a compliance necessity. This discussion reinforced what HealthLink Dimensions delivers every day: verified, multi-sourced provider data that supports use cases far beyond marketing.

Additionally, the ongoing shift from fee-for-service reimbursement to value-based care models was a recurring theme across sessions and panel discussions. This evolution in care delivery places new importance on accurate provider data. When payers and providers enter value-based contracts, the accuracy of network directories and roster data directly impacts reimbursement, quality metrics, and member experience.

Artificial Intelligence was another core focus at Becker’s. From improving data quality to automating file processing, AI is quickly becoming indispensable across healthcare organizations. Sessions emphasized AI’s role in roster automation, where algorithms help identify mismatches, validate data accuracy, and streamline updates. As interest grows, the importance of explainable, compliant, and integrated AI will only increase.

Across both payer and provider audiences, there was a clear desire to move away from point solutions and towards comprehensive platforms. Executives expressed a strong preference for solutions that integrate seamlessly into their existing ecosystems, support open APIs, and reduce friction across workflows.

Another area that drew significant attention was behavioral health, particularly in relation to network adequacy and access expansion. With legislative momentum building and unmet needs rising, many attendees acknowledged the gaps in behavioral health provider data.

The 2025 Becker’s Annual Meeting underscored the healthcare industry’s accelerating focus on integration, data accuracy, and innovation. From value-based care models to AI automation and the need for platform integration, the insights shared at Becker’s align closely with HealthLink Dimensions’ mission: delivering trusted data solutions that power better outcomes for healthcare organizations.
